It is truly an honor and privilege to serve as the principal of Marjory Stoneman Douglas Elementary School, a community rooted in excellence, pride, and a deep commitment to student success. Our school proudly serves approximately 500 students from Pre- Kindergarten through fifth grade across two beautiful learning environments: our Early Childhood Center (ECC) and our main campus.
At Marjory Stoneman Douglas Elementary, we are dedicated to providing a rigorous, engaging, and well–rounded academic experience that nurtures the whole child. Our students benefit from an academically rich curriculum designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness through our Dual Language, BISO, and Cambridge instructional models. As a Cambridge Elementary School, we are proud to model high-quality instruction that prepares students for future academic success.
Equally important to our academic focus is our commitment to developing responsible, compassionate, and culturally aware learners. Our dedicated teachers and staff cultivate a learning environment that values diversity, respect, and collaboration, while encouraging environmental stewardship and an appreciation for the arts. Every child is supported, challenged, and celebrated in a safe and nurturing atmosphere where high expectations and strong relationships go hand in hand.
I am extremely proud of the many accomplishments our students, staff, and families have achieved together over the years. We remain steadfast in our mission to provide the quality education and caring environment that every child deserves. I look forward to partnering with you as we continue the proud tradition of excellence, growth, and achievement at Marjory Stoneman Douglas Elementary School.
Welcome to our school family-where we truly believe in a Vision of Pride and Excellence.
Warm regards,
MORAIMA ALMEIDA-PEREZ,
Principal
